Services to assist the Solar Concentrator community

Lumicum has a wide experience and can offer most of the research and development that is needed to create new solar concentrator systems. Since it’s inauguration in 2008, Lumicum has been the center of Swedish solar concentrator research. An example of the services Lumicum can offer:

Services

• Material research to find combinations that can withstand high voltage and at the same time is thermal conductive and possible to use in a manufacturing line for solar cell modules
• Receiver research to make new receivers of custom applications possible according to IEC 62018
• Optical design and characterization of reflective surfaces and flux mapping
• Solar thermal testing with quasidynamic characterization as described in EN12975
• Research in new geometries to optimize cost/performance
• Lumicum also have experience of making specifications for  tracking systems
• Provide simulations of solar yield of an PV/T installation with a given climate
